장수를 상징하는 열 가지 요소가 담긴 전통 십장생도에 고양이들을
더해 재해석한 작품입니다. 많은 고양이들이 건강하고 오래오래
살아가는 낙원을 상상하며 그렸습니다.
A reinterpretation of the traditional Sipjangsaengdo, which
depicts ten symbols of longevity, enriched with the presence
of cats. It envisions a paradise where many cats live long,
healthy, and happy lives.
안과책가도
(Ophthalmology Chaekgado)

안과에서 사용되는 다양한 기물과 고양이들을 유쾌하게 배열해
그린 창작 책가도입니다. 전통 책가도의 형식을 빌려 현대적
소재로 재해석했습니다.
A creative chaekgado featuring ophthalmology instruments
and cats arranged in a playful composition. It borrows the
traditional bookshelf format and reinterprets it with
contemporary subjects.
맹호도와 맹묘도
(Fierce Tiger and Fierce Cat)

전통 민화 ‘맹호도’를 바탕으로, 위엄 있는 호랑이와 이를 재치
있게 변주한 ‘맹묘도’를 함께 구성한 작품입니다. 강인함과
귀여움이 대비되며 새로운 해학을 만들어냅니다.
Based on the traditional tiger painting (Maenghodo), this
work pairs a majestic tiger with its witty feline counterpart,
the “Maengmyodo.” The contrast between strength and
playfulness creates a new layer of humor

전통 청화백자에 고양이를 더해 한국 민화를 현대적으로 재해석한 작품입니다.
각기 다른 형태의 청화백자에는 모란, 연꽃, 국화 등 길상의 의미를 담은 전통 문양과 고양이가 자연스럽게 어우러져, 생동감과 유쾌한 상상력을 담았습니다.
세 점의 작품은 각각의 개성을 지니면서도 하나의 세트로 조화를 이루며, 전통의 품격과 현대적인 감성을 함께 전합니다.

한글 ‘고양이’의 획을 따라 다양한 포즈의 고양이들을 배치했습니다.
글자 속 숨은 고양이들을 찾아보는 재미가 있는 작품입니다.
Created for an exhibition in France, this letter painting arranges cats along the strokes of the Korean word “goyangi”(cat).
Viewers are invited to discover the various feline poses hidden within the letters.

‘IL CIRCO(서커스)’ 를 주제로, 서양의 서커스와 한국의 남사당놀이를
결합해 동서양 문화가 한 무대에서 어우러지는 축제의 장면을 표현했습니다.
Created for an exhibition in Italy, this work is inspired by “IL CIRCO.” It combines Western circus imagery with Korea’s traditional Namsadang performances, portraying a joyful celebration where Eastern and Western cultures share one stage.
